A career in pharmacy is in reach no matter what your interests or experience level are.

We provide advanced training for our Pharmacy Technicians as part of a formal career path and offer Intern positions for current pharmacy students. Data Entry Pharmacy Techs support our pharmacies through exceptional customer service at one of our two Central Processing Call Centers. Our Pharmacists are able to provide patient education to customers out on the floor, knowing that there is a highly trained group of Pharmacy Techs and Team Members keeping things moving. Many Team Members also enjoy the “floater” option as a way to serve different communities and customers throughout our service area.

What Pharmacy opportunity would be a great fit for you?

Our Pharmacists put customer service first, consistently building relationships with patients by exceeding their needs.  Your main focus will be to provide safe, accurate and efficient care to achieve the best patient, Team Member and Company outcomes.  Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to, filling/refilling prescriptions, maintaining patient profiles, administering immunizations, educating customers on the floor and remaining informed and up-to-date on new drugs, therapies, and developments in the pharmacy industry.

Specialty Pharmacy (Pharmacists & Nurses)
Specialty Pharmacy Team Members, including Licensed Pharmacists and Nurses, put their expertise and education to good use working closely with customers. They provide counsel to patients, quality check prescriptions, administer vaccinations, and perform other specialized, hands-on tasks to ensure excellent patient care.

Pharmacy Technicians
As a Pharmacy Tech, you’re responsible for greeting patients and ensuring their pharmacy experience is pleasant from start to finish. With a focus on data entry, safety and patient care, this entry-level role will help you develop professional skills.  We provide our Pharmacy Technicians with all the resources and training they need to start a rewarding career in retail pharmacy.

Pharmacy Interns
Pharmacy Interns share many of the same responsibilities as Pharmacy Technicians, but are currently enrolled in pharmacy classes at an accredited university. If you are a student entering in a Pharmacy school program, Giant Eagle’s Pharmacy Intern Program may be the right place for you! We primarily look for students who are entering their first year of Pharmacy school, though some internships may be available for P2, P3 or P4 students. Our interns typically work year-round with experienced Team Members who will mentor you every step of the way, and help you develop your long-term career in pharmacy.

Data Entry Pharmacy Technicians – Central Processing
As part of our service-focused Central Processing Call Center Team, you are the go-to resource for patients seeking accurate and efficient care. You’ll work one-on-one and build relationships with patients over the phone by providing prescription processing and regular service calls for all Giant Eagle retail locations. Data Entry Pharmacy Techs work out of one of our two state-of-the-art call centers which are located in Lewis Center, OH and Freedom, PA (FFM facility).

Pharmacy Delivery Drivers
Pharmacy Delivery Drivers deliver prescriptions to pharmacy customers on a daily basis using a provided company vehicle. As a driver, you’ll ensure customers receive the correct prescription orders in a safe and timely manner.  When not on the road, our Ohio and Indiana drivers also perform many of the same duties as a Pharmacy Technician in a more cross-functional, entry-level role.
