Giant Eagle Named One of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality

We are thrilled to share that Giant Eagle has earned the designation of being a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for 2021. As one of only 75 businesses in our operating areas to earn this distinction (33 businesses in Pennsylvania, 22 in Ohio, 5 in Indiana, 12 in Maryland and 3 in West Virginia), it is an affirmation of the concrete steps we have taken to ensure greater equality for LGBTQ workers and their families in the form of comprehensive policies, benefits, and practices.

“I am grateful that a core value of our Company is that EVERYONE should feel valued and equal. Our 100 score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index is an accomplishment that has been years in the making. A big thanks to our Giant Eagle/GetGo Pride Leaders, HR Teams and our supporters throughout the Enterprise who have raised their hands and voices and enabled us to reinvent our policies and procedures to ensure equality.”
- Polly Flinn, Executive Vice President and President of GetGo & Executive Sponsor of GE Proud
