Few things in a supermarket setting are more vibrant and attractive than a carefully crafted display of fresh, seasonal, and organic produce. That’s why Giant Eagle hires Team Members who are quality-control experts when it comes to hand-stacking and inspecting each piece of fruit or vegetable. Working in Produce is a labor-intensive job. Team Members have to work in cold climate-controlled environments, move heavy cases and carts and be mindful of safety in every task. Other responsibilities include monitoring sales and maintaining inventory for premium quality. In Produce, you’ll enjoy steady work and will always have a full day ahead of you. You can also cross-train to other areas and learn how to become a Team Leader for your department.
