At Giant Eagle, we are committed to making our workplace and communities healthier, safer and more inclusive for everyone. We are both humbled and honored to receive the following awards, honors and accolades. We praise the hard work our Team Members, Leadership, Communities, and Partners put into making our Company an inclusive and diverse place to work.
2022 "Best Place to Work" for Disability Inclusion
We are proud to announce that Giant Eagle has earned the designation of being a "Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion" by the Disability Equality Index for 2022, receiving a score of 100%. Some of the categories on the survey that we did particularly well in are benefits and community engagement. We also did well in culture and recruitment.
This recognition affirms our commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture, but our work is never done and completing the index helped us see where we can do even more. We are deeply dedicated to helping every Team Member feel that they belong in our community and can thrive here.

2022 "Best Place to Work" for LGBTQ+ Equality
We are thrilled that for a second year in a row, Giant Eagle has earned the designation of being a "Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality" in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for 2022. We would like to thank the Giant Eagle Proud Business Resource Group for spearheading this great initiative over several years, enabling us to reach this honorable achievement again this year.

2021 "Power of Work Award (Hire Category)" from Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania
We are excited to announce Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania chose Giant Eagle as a "2021 Power of Work Award" winner in the Hire Category, which honors businesses that are opening their doors and improving the lives of people with disabilities and/or other challenges by offering them work or work-related experiences.
In the past year, we've hired nine Goodwill candidates from six Goodwill programs. One of the hires was a participant in Goodwill's UPMC Project SEARCH program who was hired into a position in the floral department. As she learned the position it became evident that some of the tasks were more than she could handle physically due to her height, and that continuing in the position might per her safety at risk. To accommodate her, we identified other tasks for her to do that were suited to her friendly and outgoing personality while allowing her to continue doing some of the original tasks that she enjoyed and that she could do safely. With these adjustments, she has been very successful in her new position!

My favorite part of my job is research and development of new products, specifically Ready to Cook Meal Kits. Not only do I get to engage my creative side, but it requires a lot of inter-department coordination and logic to piece the puzzle together for a successful product. It gives me the opportunity to work with different people and products. It never feels like work!

The best thing about working at Giant Eagle is working with my team. Throughout my career, I have found that the one thing that can make or break a person's ability to affect change and enjoy their role is the people they work with. The Team Members that I work with to support the organization's technology needs have continuously proven to be committed, engaged, and supportive.
