How did you come to work for Giant Eagle?
I started working at Giant Eagle in 2009 as an Information Security Analyst. Throughout the years, I have transitioned from an individual contributor to managing the Information Security and Risk program for the enterprise.
What do you love most about your current role?
What I love most about my current role is the opportunity to represent an extremely talented and driven team of “professional problem solvers” who make it all happen.
Can describe your military career?
I joined the United States Navy directly out of high school in 1996, where I completed Aviation Electronics training. My specialty was Avionics in the form of Electronic Warfare (jammers) on the EA-6B Airframe. In the four years I was on active duty, I completed a six-month deployment on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN69) and participated in several notable missions. During my Naval experience, I obtained several awards and medals including the Battle-E, Good Conduct, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and the Sea Service Ribbon.
What work are you most proud of?
By far I am most proud of the members of the Information Security team whose diligence and attention to detail drive the program every day.
